Philippines' Marcos meets Indonesia's Jokowi in 1st state visit

Southeast Asian leaders discuss regional security and economic cooperation

JAKARTA -- The Philippines' new president met his Indonesian counterpart on the outskirts of Jakarta on Monday, as he began his first state visit since his election in May.

Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. met with Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo in Bogor, with the leaders discussing regional security and economic cooperation against a backdrop of growing Chinese influence.
