NEW YORK -- The Biden administration's nomination of Casey Arrowood as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee has run into substantial Chinese American pushback over his past prosecution of a professor who was later cleared.
A coalition of Asian American organizations in September sent the White House and the Senate Judiciary Committee letters opposing the nomination. The signers also included more than 1,700 scientists, civil rights advocates and other individuals.
