Sony taps Japan's nascent 'local 5G' market

TOKYO -- Sony Group will offer ultrafast private 5G network services beginning next spring as the Japanese conglomerate seeks to tap a fast emerging growth area.

On Monday, subsidiary Sony Wireless Communications announced that it will roll out Nuro Wireless 5G internet service for residential complexes.
