A senior executive linked to China's state-backed semiconductor drive is being probed by the nation's top graft-buster for alleged corruption.

Gao Songtao, 51, who served as the vice president of Sino IC Capital from October 2014 to November 2019, is under investigation for "serious violations of laws," a standard euphemism for corruption, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced Friday.
