TOKYO -- Ramen chain operator Hiday Hidaka is expected to post a 5% rise in parent-only operating profit to about 4.5 billion yen ($40.4 million) for the year ended in February, thanks to more customers stopping by for snacks and a quick drink after work.
The Japanese company is likely to come close to its guidance and to log a 14th straight year of record profit. Results for fiscal 2016 will be released Wednesday.
