Nippon Piston to crank up engine parts output in India

Prepping for rising car, motorcycle production

The Japanese parts maker will transfer production from the leased plant to the new Karnataka factory, which has a output capacity 30% higher than the older site.

TOKYO -- Japan's Nippon Piston Ring will spend 1 billion yen ($8.5 million) to boost output of valve seats by 30% in India as manufacturers ramp up car and motorcycle production in the country.
