TOKYO -- Japan's Maruha Nichiro looks to bolster exports of its Hokkaido scallops to Europe, touting the product's international sustainable fishing certificate.
The fishing company aims to boost Europe-bound exports tenfold from current figures to 1 billion yen ($9.03 million) in fiscal 2017, seeking to offset falling scallop consumption in Japan.
