Sharp to re-enter US home solar market

OSAKA -- Sharp plans to resume sales as early as next year of residential solar panels in the U.S., a market it abandoned after price competition proved too tough.

The Japanese manufacturer withdrew from American production and sales of home solar equipment in 2014. It now supplies solar panels only to office buildings and other places of business as part of power management systems complete with storage batteries.
