TOKYO -- Casual clothing retailer Adastria's operating profit for the March-August half likely came below projections, weighed down by heavy discounts and bad weather that kept customers away.
Operating profit slumped an estimated 8% on the year to around 7.5 billion yen ($72.6 million), falling short of an initial projection of 8.1 billion yen, roughly flat on the year. Besides its mainstay Global Work line, the Tokyo-based company operates brands such as niko and... as well as Lowrys Farm.
