TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Chemical will provide SK Hynix with a water treatment membrane to clean wastewater from a semiconductor plant near Seoul.
The South Korean chipmaker will build one of the world's largest industrial wastewater treatment facilities as it expands capacity at the factory in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Related orders to the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings unit are seen at well over 1 billion yen ($9.17 million).
