KUALA LUMPUR -- Three days after quitting the ruling party, Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia's longest-serving former prime minister, signed a pact on Friday calling on the country's leadership to step down.

The feisty 90-year old signed the Citizen's Declaration along with 57 others, including some former political foes and opposition figures he once imprisoned.
