Out of the cities and into the suburbs

Retailers increasingly see Asia as a key growth area.

     A total of 53 million sq. meters of new shopping center space will be provided between 2014 and 2016 in Asia, according to data compiled by global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield. The area to be developed is five times larger than in the U.S. The number of new shopping centers to be built during the period amounts to 600.
