TOKYO -- Japan Post will launch this fall an international parcel delivery service covering China, India and Southeast Asia, using the logistics network of French partner Geopost.
Japan Post's international mail service already handles packages. But because this relies on local postal networks once the shipment reaches the destination country, packages cannot be tracked and delivery dates cannot be specified in some countries. The Japanese postal entity hopes to cultivate corporate demand by offering a better service for shipping packages from Japan to the rest of Asia.
