A new artery is nourishing Asia and Latin America, carrying goods from one side of the Pacific to the other. In the past 10 years, trade between the regions has grown tenfold.
At one point, iron ore and other natural resources were using the artery to feed China's voracious economy. Now it's more of a two-way street, bringing stuff to the emerging economies in each region.
