TOKYO -- Samsung SDI of South Korea is joining forces with storage battery manufacturer Edison Power to market large-capacity storage batteries for megasolar power plants in Japan.
These batteries are designed for load leveling, supplying power to compensate for temporary declines in power generation by the panels, such as when clouds block the sun.
