TOKYO -- Park24 likely edged past its projected group pretax profit in the November-April half, setting a record for that period, thanks to fuller parking lots and the growing popularity of the Japanese company's car-sharing service.
The parking facility operator's interim pretax profit apparently climbed roughly 17% on the year to just over 9 billion yen ($82 million). Sales probably rose 7% to 93 billion yen, beating the forecast by 1 billion yen.
