HONG KONG -- Despite its recent economic slowdown, Chinese office workers will receive the second-highest wage increase in Asia next year, according to a survey released Thursday by U.K.-based human resources consultancy ECA International.
The survey -- ECA's Salary Trends Survey 2015/2016 -- found that real wages, taking inflation into account, will increase 6.2% on average in China next year. Although it will be slightly lower than the 6.3% increase in 2015, it will be the second-highest increase in the Asia region.
