TAIPEI -- Taiwan's Quanta Computer is assembling the Apple Watch, while touch module maker TPK Holding is supplying components for the U.S. tech giant's latest gadget. Up to 20 million of the smartwatches are expected to ship in 2015, but production constraints during the first six months of the year could drag that number much lower.

Apple unveiled the wearable device, which does double duty as a fashion accessory, on March 9. Priced from $349 to $17,000, the Apple Watch is the company's first new product line since 2010, when it introduced the iPad.
